These are my February blocks for the Quilty 365 challenge group on Blogger. The idea is to create a circle block every day for the whole year. This is me.
I am so very interested to see how it will turn out, life as a whole is dynamic and beautiful, even with the ugly bits in between.
The struggle is what makes us real, the appreciation we have when things are in harmony makes us real. I feel this is the beginning of a beautiful journey. Thank you, Quilty, 365!
Please remember that all of you are good enough! You are smart enough! And you are beautiful.

Linking with Quilty 365 by www.daisyandjackhandmade.com and Oh Scrap because everything so far has come from my scrap bin, which contains all sorts of upcycled and collected pieces.
I did Quilty365 last year - it produced three quilts and was a lot of fun. I like how your circles are looking so far and hope you enjoy the journey.
ReplyDeleteWoah, three quilts! now that i think about it, i can see how that would be the case. What am I going to do with all of them!? lol. As my DH would say "there are probably worse problems to have" Thanks for the kindness Kaja :)
DeleteI have just about finished my 365 from last year and really enjoyed the challenge. Good luck with it and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen! it is pretty fun so far. I am worried that I will drastically deviate from the color pallet. I might need something to fill that creative urge and keep within the constraints of the 365 project. I think that helps my creativity (to have boundaries).
DeleteI participated last year too. It is great to see a new wave is being started. I love your circles so far. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteI really like your blog! lol. I never get star struck but it is pretty cool to be talking to you :) I am really enjoying the process! thank you for commenting!
DeleteOh these are fabulous circle blocks !! thanks so much for linking up and look forward to seeing your blocks next month :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for having the Quilty 365 Leanne! I am really enjoying the process! and challenging myself within the constraints. I love having something that keeps me accountable too!
DeleteI really like your blog <3
Ooh! Look at your fabrics! I am just rapt in them! The colours you are putting together are inspiring. :)

Oh, my goodness, Thank you Leanne! they are all scraps, some from clothing, some were inherited quilting pieces, and some were from #weaveandwoven on Etsy. The scraps were super reasonably priced and very useable. It gives my stash a boost with some very pretty pieces ;)
DeleteI am just so flattered by your comments!
Thank you
I've enjoyed seeing everyone's 365 and will enjoy seeing yours progress!
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to seeing how it will turn out! who knows, maybe in July when it is hot and revolting out the whole thing will get turned on its head! wouldn't that be fun! like jumping into a splash pool on a hot day. Sigh, I long for summer to get here in Canada.
DeleteI am one of those people who started early on the project, but haven't been able to keep up with it daily. So I am still working on mine. I like the creativity you have added to your circles. It is going to turn out beautifully.
ReplyDeleteHi Shasta, To be honest I make them in batches, weekly or more. I find it more rewarding to sit down and make a bunch at a time. The fabric I use for the month usually comes from a set aside color scheme of pulled fabrics. The fabrics I am using on other quilts that month get added to the 365 pull as I go as well. I can't wait to see yours!
