Quilting| Rohen's Chinese Coins

I am working on Rohen's Quilt. I have the big star blocks pieced together with supporting elements and am now working on herringbone Chinese coins.  The quilt is starting to look phenomenal! Nathan says that I should highly value the work that I am putting in on this one and that he does! he also hints that he can't wait to have his own blanket. I have made quite a few afghans and quilts but he has yet to receive his. Patience my love patience. :)

I purchased some scraps from Weave and Woven  on Etsy, a seller from Ontario Canada, and used them to perk up the original color scheme for the stars. I love the scraps and the packaging was so lovely!

I can't wait to show you the top.

I started these blocks back in August, It got put on the shelf because I tend to bounce around with my creative projects quite a bit.

Now I have this stack of scraps to play with and combine the blocks. I can't wait to show you the finish!

Rug Hooking| Moog Pattern

Rug Hooking

I made my first pattern from a paper image. I taped the linen to the wall and projected the image for tracing the major elements. I haven't asked for permission to use it yet from the toy maker.... it is only for my use, but I will still ask since I am posting pictures online. …

Quilting| The Newest Quilt

Quilting

This one is for all of the black sheep out there. It didn't start out that way; It started as a baby quilt for my niece. She was born in the year of the ram/lamb and her mother is Vietnamese. Thus the concept using the silhouette and Japanese fabrics. I gifted this quilt to the parents at Christmas, they were so appreciative and the other guests at the gathering were lavish with their praise. I hope it looks interesting to you all... :D

May I present: The latest quilt

The quilt top is made from imprivisionaly piecing strips of the black striped fabric with the red components placed in interesting and pleasing arrangements. The black striped fabric was upcycled from a quilt cover that had a white based alternating strip. I cut out the black ones and used them because they were better.

1/20/2017  - I added this quilt to the Friday Finishes for January 20th ,and AHIQ 2017.I am pretty new at this so I'm still trying to catch on to the blogging game :) click the below link to share

Rug Hooking| My Mother's Christmas Present

Rug Hooking|

The rug for my mother's Christmas present is finished, and I need to figure out how to bind it. I have folded and pinned over the edges of the backing, but I do not have any cotton tape to lay over top of it. I was thinking of sewing some wool across the whole back after tacking down the backing material.

Crochet and Knit| Vintage Knit and Crochet patterns

Crochet and Knit

My sister in law gifted me a stack of vintage pattern magazines last year and I haven't used them. Today I posted them on my work classifieds to see if anyone wants to buy them for $10 OBO.  There are 11 issues ranging from the 1940's to the 1950's. I wonder if I posted them too low or too high. I don't really think anyone will buy them but we will see.

Thank you for leaving me messages. I have been replying to ya'll on the blog and I am pretty sure the blog doesn't send you the reply. I will be starting to reply from my gmail as of now. I look forward to chatting with you all soon. If you would rather send me an email I am at sarahsbusy@gmail.com
